I have the same boat with a 115 Merc 4 stroke. I think that is a reasonable price and for the fishing you are doing that boat should give you exceptional life. I have never felt unsafe though at times I have been out in water rough enough to make me a little sick. You will troll well for musky with the 4 stroke, but you may want a kicker for slow speeds but you can easily hang a bucket or mount a plate to slow the boat down. I am assuming you are looking at a boat with a 4 stroke and the motor should give long life also. I pulled mine with a v6 pickup in SE KY and never felt underpowered. I now pull with a 5.3 V8 and really am a little overpowered in terms of what I need, but it's nice for passing. This boat is also capable of pulling knee boards or tubers without difficulty.
