By looking at the magazines, it looks as though MinnKota has a lot more options. But, you know, I'm always seeing posts like "my motor won't turn left". And it seems guys are buying foot pedal once a year! Sheesh! I have a MotorGuide that came on the boat back in '93. I've literally NEVER done anything to it. Still goes good. No new pedals, no adjustments, stock prop, no lube. Most I've ever done is take off the prop after a buddy casted into it and got 50lb PP wound up in it.
