So I was so gracious this past weekend and when backing in my boat I hit my motor on the garage door bracket hanging down and managed to put a nice slice and hole in the top of my motor.

My questions is does anyone know if this can repaired somewhat easily and still look good or am I better off looking for a new cover for the motor. It is for a 200 Optimax. Looking at it it looks to be a plastic but I haven't done well with the JB weld stuff to make it look good for a finished result. So if anyone has any sugestions I would be open to them besides the obvious of watching it closer when backing the boat in. Thanks for the input in advance.
