Location: Cedarburg, Wisconsin | I've run E-TECs on my rig since 2008. Flawless for me except one odd starter problem where a gear had broken teeth (and that might have been from someone else running the motor and trying to start it when it was running). Unbelievable economy over a carbed motor! No screwing around with choking, warm up, cold starts, and the rest of that crap. Just turn the key and go. If you can get the 1/2 price plus the warrante, jump on it! Unless they beat the motor to death by running it overpropped you'll have a great motor for years to come from what I've seen on my rig.
Get a printout of the motor history. The EMM will store all data and give you hours, how much time at what rpm and tons of other info. Have the dealer print one out and look it over. They can't hide anything including error codes, fault situations, over revving, and on and on. It's all there for you to see before you buy.
