Location: Kildeer, IL | I have a 40 hp on my Esox ltd and with three guys and all of our gear, it takes over a minute to get on plane. I also have 3 batteries and a casting deck in the back. When two guys sit way up front it will plane in 10 - 20 seconds.
I don't think a 25 hp engine will ever get a Esox Mag onto plane if you have it loaded down with gear, people, and gas.
I can barely get a 7'10" rod in my box. My Tuffy is a 1987, so the length has probably changed.
