Location: Des Moines IA | Do you have a tach for the 25? The right prop will have the motor running in it's upper end of rpms with a medium load. I went from a 17 pitch prop on my 1700 Tuffy with a 70 4 stroke suzi, which ran at about 5100 rpms and 30 mph. To a 15 pitch prop at 5900 rpms, and lost .5 mph, but my hole was cut in half. I'd worry more about running the correct rpms, than I would about top speed. Our boats will never be speed demons, and it's harder on the motor to run lower than recommended rpms. My .02$ | |
