I have a 94 690 with a 175 xri I have the lowrance fuel meter on it. It get pretty good gph if u dont drive wide open. i have a 21 tempest plus a se sport hydro. 9.9 kicker. and 24 vt terrova full tank with 2 guys 55-57mph at 20-20.5 gph. if u kick it back to 3800-4000rmps u can get 8-11gph depending on conditions. at 4000 rpm My boat will run 40-42mph and get great gph. I would not go to a 4 stroke motor on that hull. the 175 xri only weights like 350lbs. Back then they did not put heavy 4 strokes on that boat not sure if it could handle it. plus there is no way a 4 stroke will run like the xri. I smoke boats all the time with bigger newer motors
