even if you repowered it you will save on gas but look at the math...say you have to stick 10k after trading yours in on a new Suzi 175 which is probably on the low end..more like 11k, ok so lets figure 10k...let's just say you burn 30 gallons a weekend now, and use your boat every weekend from May thru Oct, that is 720 gallons...let's just say the Suzi cuts your gas bill in half which is probably an over estimate..still let's just say that...so you burn 360 gallons w/ the Suzi...you save about a $1000 a year...so it will take you over 10 yrs to recoup dumping the Merc....if you are going to keep a 1994 Hull for 10 more yrs????
just easy on the throttle of the merc...keep it at maybe 4k rpm and make sure you are running on all cylinders....I had no choice as my Merc blew but would I have done it without it blowing....the math didn't make sense ....does it to you ?
