I do this on a few electric motor-only lakes. I've got a 24V Minnkota up front and a 12V on the transom. I normally only fire up both when I want to get from A to B in a hurry, but I'll also do it for trolling at 3+ MPH for 'skies. When I hook up, it's a bit more of a scramble to kill the stern motor first, then slow down the bow motor, etc.

Tighten down the turn nut on the stern motor and do all the steering from the bow. Works fine.
