Thanks BG. My main problem is that I'm not sure if I already have the quick release. When I bought it (the motor) from the guy, he said to mount the plate first and then attach the motor. I can't see how I would get the plate loose from the motor. It appears to be part of the motor base. If it were a quick release, how would it attach and unattach? Would it be obvious that it is a separate part from the motor base? Thanks.
