Thanks Muskie Mike, that may be my solution. My problem is the wear at the initial point of contact, and the next +/- 16" of rub as I am loading.
I am going to look into mounting these inline style rollers to the bunks at the point of initial contact ONLY, so that the boat can slide over easily prior to all the weight being applied evenly to the bunks as I pull out.
All the damage and wear is due to the friction prior to pulling out.
