I have a 3/4 ton Dodge Diesel and it is a towing machine. I had four or five gas engine Chevrolets before this truck and although they were reliable they didn't have half the power this truck does and they got worse gas mileage. I have not had a single engine issue of any kind in the first 70k miles.
