Location: SW MI		I recently bought a fishfinder for my trolling motor and when I went to put it on, I noticed that the prop section has a "skeg" on it. It's an older motor (1996?) and I was wondering if it is a neccessary part. I'm thinking of having it removed and want to know if it would effect how the motor works.
