Location: Des Moines IA | It is Steel angle Iron on top, one inch tube supports. Welded, no gas, just a wire fed hobart. Etexed the ply-wood, then painted it.Back is open, top is 5/8s plywood, front and sides are 3/8s. PVC downspout, no noise at all. Here is a picture of my 350+ pound 6 foot 6 brother in law, testing it for strength. Not sure on the weight, but I can put in in and pull it out by myself. Steel was 70$, Stereo was about 130$, carpet and glues was about 25$, etex was 20$, latches were 15$, I salvaged most of the plywood from work. PVC Downspout was 42$. The miscellaneous is where it really adds up. I made numerous trips back and forth to Menards for, piano hinges, tools, screws, paint, nuts, bolts, paint etc. Lots of time in this build as well. My brother in law wired it all up, welded it all, I did most of the grunt work.
