| I feel the same way about Merc, but it may be my only choice with a boat i am looking at. From talking to many dealers who sell merc, the 4 strokes have been good. I know they aren't going to say the contrary, but i did run into a trustworthy dealer at a show who said, they have greatly improved and out of the 100 they sold, none have come back. this is hearsay, but this guys sold both yamaha, Etec and merc so he could have been honest. I think merc got a bad rep in 2000-1003 with some of the 2 strokes and others like myself have just been sour to Merc compared to others on the market. | |
