Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Carefully inspect the both the boat cable plug/connector(s) and the unit connectors. You may have a (male) pin that is pushed back slightly or the female pin's could be slightly enlarged. Not uncommon where folks twist while pushing or pulling the connectors while taking them off or putting them on. If that's not the problem, you should work your way backward's to the battery, checking every connection, including fuses/holders.
Just because the Lcx27 starts and the LMS 334 won't doesn't mean the boat wiring is solid. Electronic equipment/unit's usually draw surge currents when initially powering up, and a bad connection would be the most likely culprit. Its like beer drinker's, some are sipper's and some are chugger's.
