Location: East Central WI | All things being equal, the V8 is the way to go, no doubt about it. Things have gotten complicated and I think there is more to it than just a V8 or V6. For instance, you can get 3 different trannys on a GMC, a 4.10, a 3.73 and a 3.5? If your always pulling something, get the 4.10, if mileage is your no. 1 priority, get the 3.5. That being said, I would certainly think a V6 would pull your boat without too much effort. If not, get one of those chips to increase horsepower. I think they are about $400+/- and I know a few guys who have them and love them. A word of caution though, I think they void warranties. |
