| market forces will decide what happens. personally, i think iPilot will be popular which will create an incentive to expand on it.
rather than adding more memory to the trolling motor, i can see them going the direction of allowing you to lay down tracks/points on your sonar/gps unit and having the iPilot linked to the network and drive you from point to point.
since MinnKota and Humminbird are owned by the same company, they could make it unique to Humminbirds. this would be a value-added approach as it would create even more incentive to get the Humminbird units than there is already.
