| FYI, I emailed Minn Kota regarding possible future upgrades to the I-Pilot's memory capacity. Three trails is not worth the money for me and I figure they will be increasing memory capacity at some point. I asked them whether they anticipated increasing memory and whether there would be an upgrade available to current I-Pilot users at a reasonable price, rather than having to add a whole I-Pilot unit. Here is the response I received:
"Thank you for your recent inquiry. The I-Pilot system is a new product for us, and as such, there are no current plans to change it from its current design. I cannot be certain, but I suspect that if a change is made in the design of the I-Pilot system, that it would require purchase of a new one. The current I-Pilot system does not allow you to add memory.
