I got an 80# Terrova AP/US two years ago and no problems yet in about 45 days of use. One really nice thing about the one I got is the co-pilot feature where you can sit in the back of the boat and work the trolling motor without a cord or foot pedal. Not that you will use it that often, but when you want to troll spinners off of boards slowly it's really nice to have. Also for dragging suckers, you can sit in the back and work your rod while the motor up front does the work. That way you never have to worry about having the line under the back motors.

On my Tuffy X-190 I opted for the 54" shaft and it works in all but the very roughest conditions, which I'd gladly trade off for not having the motor sticking way up in the air when you are running shallow water. But my boat sits a lot lower than yours so I'd second the motion to get a 60" shaft. I ran a 60" AP on my Alumacraft deep V and it worked great for keeping the motor in the water in the rough stuff.

Over all I'm impressed with the Terrova for ease of use and reliablitiy.
