Location: Central WI | I've got a late 70's/early 80's 25hp Johnson that has started to get a knock/vibration. The thing starts and runs like a champ, but it's losing power and the vibration is getting worse. I'm assuming the powerhead needs rebuilt or replaced.
Just wondering on cost of repairs vs. going out and buying a different outboard. I thought about digging in and trying to do it myself, but it looks intimidating when I pull the motor cover off..lol. Anyone ever do any major overhauls on something similar or have an idea on costs to have someone repair it? Thanks! |
