i have a 2001 ford ranger 4.0L and i towed a trailor from NC 1100 miles away tha wieghed everybit of 4500lbs and had no problems with it at all, no problems stopping starting very smooth. I towed my freinds dads 16ft monarch last summer up north and actually got better gas mileage pulling that than the 12' fischer we took up there this year. That 4.0L can easily tow 5600lbs i think thats the rating on my truck.

I drive a 4.0L Ranger myself, but I still couldn't imagine pulling a Ranger 619. It's actually got enough power to pull it, but stopping could be scary.
