I just installed my buddies 3 year old 522C igps on the console of my Crestliner. He and I have fished together for a long time and I have used this unit a ton. He's got a ton of scratch and bought himself two HDS 7's; I bought the 522C from him. To install I had to run a new power line and a new transom transducer. He's had a 1GB SD chip of maps in it. Using Lowrances' MapCreate software I made a geographically huge set of maps and put them on a 2GB chip.

A difference I noticed right away between the 522C igps and other units is that it takes this unit a bit longer to boot up and acquire enough satellites.
