I ran a lot of miles up on a 96 Chevy work truck with a 4.6 Vortex and 2wd pulling my 17.5 Lund blue whale with a 115 on it. Definitely worked it some in the mountains but for the most part it had plenty of power when not in overdrive, and when I headed north, put it in OD through IN and IL, no probems. I backed that one into a bluff alongside the freeway this winter, and now have a 5.3 Eldorado and really way more power than I need. I am surprised some are having somplaints of total power with this engine? I could probably go glass on my boat, and still have excess power available.
