Hey guys, it isn't only aluminum boats which run into difficulties.
A couple weeks back I knocked the h*!! out of the lower unit on my Merc sterndrive and destroyed a SS prop. $2300 for replacement lower unit and $150.00 to repair the prop. There I was 3/4 mile out in Lake Michigan just tooling along minding me own business enjoying the ride and......For Cripes Sake!!
Can't blame Wellcraft, can't blame Mercury, gotta blame the loose nut that was behind the wheel. That's why I have a depth sounder aboard but ya gotta pay attention to it, even if you way out where the water should be deep! Gawwwddd, I wish I only would have had a 2" hole to worry about.....[:0] [;)] [:p]
