Subject: RE: Power pole for musky fishing?

I've had one on the last two boats I've had and have used it for two distinctly different applications.
One; while standing on my cooler, up on the front deck slowly cruising the shallows for visible fish it allows me to stop very quickly and quietly without kicking dust in the fishes face before I make a cast.
The other; I mounted a "kite release clip" to the bottom of the pole and it allows me to run a lure down to 8 feet below the surface without adding any lead. If I run over weeds that are less than 8' from the surface I can hit the fob and bring the lure to what ever depth I need to make it just tick the weed tops. Very cool.
