Hiya,

Just a quick thought of what it might be...

check your fuel line from the tank to the motor. If it is kinked, what could potentially be happening is fuel is not getting through enough to keep the motor running and it is starving, thus the sputtering, etc at higher throttle settings.

I should also ask, how old is the line or the tank? If the tank has some age, you might want to take out the fuel inlet hose in the tank to see if it has somehow become partially clogged. Some have a filter screen in the tank that can get clogged.

Just something to check...
