Subject: Crossing Cones with your electonics - any fix?

Hey guys,
I'm running a Lowrance X-75 on the bow and an X-65 on the console of my new rig. I like to keep both graphs on while fish (courtesy for my partner... and I'm too lazy to turn it off). I've been having trouble when fishing in 30-50 feet of water. Both graphs go on the fritz and tell me it is like 5000 feet deep. The system on the bow is more sensitive (puck transducer) and kicks out first. Secondly, this does not happen on all lakes. Some lakes I can fish in 40 feet of water with no problems. Why????

Also, if I am in heavy cover (weeds) or the baitfish are really thick, the signals get disrupted and the same thing happens. Is there any way to fix this problem without just having to turn off one unit while I am fishing?

Thanks for your help.
