Location: Stevens Point, WI		YES. A 522 can be networked, only for the gps. You will not get the HDS reading on the 522, so you won't be able to ethernet the two units and be able to read the HDS sonar off the 522. You will however be able to share waypoints within the network.

The ethernet cable, which is the yellow cable has nothing to do with networking. The networking is for the gps part and being able to share gps info between two units.
