Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Yup--generally Garmin and Lowrance have set dollar amounts for reconditioning individual units regardless of the problem. I did that with all three of my Garmin units last winter (they were leaking after a hailstorm experience) and it cost me around $500 clams total--to me it was worth it b/c now I have 3 like-new units--no way I could replace those 3 units for anywhere near that price and I didn't have the $$$ to buy all new outfits...so for me it was worth it.
Check around on google and ebay and you can find reconditioned units at a reduced price with the same warranty as a new unit. |
