I don't know of any private party that can fix Lowrances or if it would even be worthwhile for you, however I do know a number of people that traded in their dud Lowrance unit along with $200 for a reconditioned Lowrance unit or using that dud unit as credit towards a new HDS unit. For that you need to contact Lowrance however and go thru them. What you are talking about happened to my buddies x20, we got into the troubleshooting part of the unit and everything came up as "FAIL" and that is the deal he went with.
