| Setme31,
I probably do not have the same amount of flotation in the boat after the rebuild. I did the floor a bit different, my new floor extends across the full width of the boat. The original floor was built between the two vertical plywood pieces. The new floor allows for a flat bottom in all of the storage lockers. I left one 1" (sealed with resin) holes in floor so I was able to fill the flotation foam through the holes after I had the floor in place.
I would not recommend this method as I am not sure if all of the area under the floor is filled with foam. If I were to do it again (I'm looking for an Esox Mag to rebuild) I would fill the bottom with foam first, then trim the foam and install the floor second. Live and learn.
Let me know if you have any other questions, Mike.
P.S. I grew up in Prospect Heights, probably around the corner from you, it's such a small world! | |
