Subject: Affixing Transducer Cord to Transom

We have an Eagle fishfinder for our project boat and need to run the cord (and transducer) down the transom. My concern is, without anything holding the cord against the transom, that something could get between the cord and transom and rip the whole thing off, or at least damage the cord. I am envisioning using those things that tack TV cables against the base of walls, but the ones I'm familiar with have nails that you hammer into the wall (obviously won't work in an aluminum boat). Thanks!
