What would the difference be to an angler between a sonar unit with 4000 watts peak to peak VS a unit with 8000 watts peak to peak.

I will be using in water generally less than 50 FOW. One article said the wattage becomes more significant when fishing deep saltwater type applications, so maybe there is not much diff between 4K and 8K for shallow, inland waters?
