| Hi all,
I've just inherited a 1988 Tuffy Marauder console (my first boat). I'm really excited to clean it all up. First thing, is that there is a patch on the bottom of the boat (about 12 inches in diameter, midway between stern and bow) from where the previous owner repaired a hole. The repair appears solid, as the boat doesn't leak, but I'd like to clean it up a bit, as the edges are all ragged and it appears that there may be some fiberglass backing that extends over the edge of the hole.
So, does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean this area up and make it blend in nice with the rest of the hull? It seems as though I'd have to sand down the excess fiberglass/resin, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
