Those that compare it to anchor, if they want to throw and retrieve an anchor 30 times a day while drifting a 5' flat, casting and messing with a fish, they can be my guest. I can drift a weedbed for two hours and never hit the trolling motor, and yet have complete control over the speed of my drift. LSC is not that much at all about structure, it's about straight line drifts over shallow weeds. For me, fishing 4-6 days a week April-December it pays for itself with being able to stop the boat on a drift to cover a patch of cabbage or stop on a dime and fan cast in a 1.25 mph drift and not miss water. Especially fly casting.
I've said it before, comparing a PP to an anchor is like comparing a trolling motor to a set of oars or a GPS to a chart and slide rule. Not much good on deeper water, but on a body of water with an average depth of 11' and half the year spent lesst han 6', it's awesome.
