If I was any bit mechanical I would jump all over the rebuild myself. Thanks for the advice about getting new fuel lines and for the quick responses. I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope his estimates run high. This is the only service the mechanic will ever get from me again though. I dropped the outboard off 5 weeks ago and I called them about every week and they hadn't touched it yet. I had to go in on Monday and I told the guy face to face that I wanted to pick up the outboard and take it somewhere else if he couldn't get it done by the end of the week. The next day (tuesday) I got a call with the estimate.
