Odd though? I had a 690 with a 4 blade and the top end didn't seem to be hurt all that bad? I think Jeff Redig from this board has a 4 blade on his if I remember right? Jeff...if you read this chime in.

Best,

Mark

Yep, mine's got a 4 blade trophy I seem to recall the pitch being either a 21 or 23, i'll have to check when I get home. I can hit 50mph with gear and 3 people, i've seen 56-57 by myself with pretty much no gear and no gas, that's GPS and I was impressed. Hole shot is great with the engine trimmed down, it leaps up onto plane instantly at more than 1/2 throttle regardless of gas/gear/people.

I spend most of my time running between 30 and 40mph to try and save gas, i've been surprised how little it can use when driven carefully. Had it on some rough stuff on Mille Lacs a couple times and it was non issue to even get up on plane and run without beating myself or the boat up.

Thanks again Mark for working it out for me to end up with this rig, it is fantastic beyond what I thought it would be, you were right on all counts!!
