I bought a boat this spring from Cabelas and have had good luck with them. The only bummer being that they are 1.5 hours away from me so any warranty work is a pain to take over there.

Ive had a few issues up to this point and they have been good about everything. The trailer (Phoenix) that came with the boat is a beefier trailer than a shorelandr and it has worked great up to this point. I purchased a 175 Navigator from them and I didnt like how the throttle was positioned so far away along the side of the boat. If you look at the 2008 vs. the 2009, they removed an additional plate that moved the throttle closer to the driver. It almost seemed like you were reaching back for the throttle and it felt very uncomfortable. Cableas said they would look into and have Alumacraft manufacture a plate for it (similiar to the 2008 model). They installed it and it looks and works great, all free of charge.

When I traded my old boat and motor in (60 Merc Tiller, 98) they hooked it up and said I was lucky I was trading it in when I did, there was a problem with the motor that was going to go on it (i forget what exactly). They never asked any questions and didnt reduce the original quote on the trade even though they had to fix the motor before re-selling it. That was nice.

One last thing to keep in mind. If there are any issues with the boat (if you buy an Alumacraft), Cabelas is their largest customer by a long long way, they will do whatever it takes to keep Cabelas happy and in turn, Cabelas keeps you happy.

Oh, and they were by far the cheapest and I even upgraded from a 115 4 stroke to a 150 opti for very very little.
