| It's probably a good idea to check what your state requirements are before buying a boat/trailer/motor. Also, make sure you get the correct information. I made a mistake in checking with the local license bureau in Missouri about buying a boat from a Missouri resident that acquired it from buying a house from a deceased owner's estate. The boat had been left there. When I went to the same clertk to register the boat, she acted like I didn't have the proper papers, which were what she told me I needed (even notarized). Luckily, I was able to get out of the deal and got my money back.
Anyway, it would be best to check with the state and perhaps a local marine dealership, who probably knows more. | |
