Location: Sw Pennsylvania		I had the same problems with powerdrive pedals, but mine just basically wouldn't steer one side to the other or wouldn't operate at all. I tore the last one apart and it had a hole about an 1/8in on the top of the board from wear and corrossion. I never had the problem of starting though when not expected. I got about 2 years on the last one maybe a bit more.
