Subject: Lowrance GPS issues

Location: Twin Cities
I've got a lowrance 38 series, pretty new unit. Constantly cycling through position lost and position acquired. At times it seems random and at times it's on a 10 minute cycle. When on the cycle, the only thing that cures it is a power cycle, then upon powering it up, it immediately acquires position even if it had lost it for 35+ minutes prior to that and wouldn't reacquire.

Tried several contacts for lowrance, no response from email and 2+ hours on hold which I just can't do during their hours, pretty ridiculous.

Anybody else had this happen? I have two pucks and both produce the same results, also did the 2.4 update with no change. I think i'm down to getting a refund at this point and moving on for good.

TIA-
JR
