| I'd look to see where the oil is coming from. If it is flowing from the hole where the screw is, then I would check the gasket on the screw. Somehow my gasket got lost when the lower unit lube was replaced. Thus, it dripped too.
It is always best to replace the lower unit lube just before storing for the winter. Otherwise, any water in the lower unit could freeze and cause a crack in the lower unit. Hopefully, your leak is from a loose screw or a missing /poor gasket.
check where the lube is coming from to determine if there is a crack in the lower unit.
