I just checked and the 17 does have the latest update 1.6 The 5200 has been working perfect every time I use it.

I'm not sure what you mean by having power to NMEA. I have the power cord, transducer cord, and the network cord plugged into the 17. The global map has the power cord and the the network cable plugged into that one.

Directly from the global map is the network cable that connects into one of the T's. The 3000 pod is going into one T and the other I had plugged the network cable from the 17 into the last T.
