I've been using the Mcgard Prop lock since I installed a SS prop several years ago.
A well made product that works. I would recommend buying a (1/2" drive) torque wrench and a separate deep-socket to go with it. I keep both in the boat in case of prop damage.
You will need to know how much torque (ft. lbs.) to tighten the nut. (see your outboard motor manual)

Another benefit is, you get rid of the prop-nut Cotter key!
