Subject: Alumicraft Boats Good?

A buddy of mine has a Alumacraft 17 foot, single side console with a 90 merc on the back. I'm not sure of the year but I think it's not more than 5 years old.

It is a very nice boat. His seems to have plenty of storage in it. I like how wide it is. We can get 8 rods, 3 large plano muskie boxes, rain gear, coolers, landing net, cradle, extra clothes and any of the other gear needed for a day with plenty of room left over for fishing. We don't seem to trip over each other in it. There is a lot of underdeck storage in the bow. I have looked at them in the dealers and when I go to get my new boat (in a couple of years) I will definently give Alumacraft a hard look, but I still have to make up my mind between glass and aluminium first.
