I run two Lowrance X-17Ms on my boat - one on the bow using the universal sonar on my Terrova and one on the console using a transducer mounted on the transom. The weird part is that for some reason there is always about a 3 degree difference in the water temperature between the bow and console units with the bow unit always being warmer. Any idea what would be causing the differential? My initial thoughts were the Terrova is black and is absorbing more heat.
