My old boat had a 94 Evinrude 150 on the back and I noticed a significant drop in smoke when I switched from the Evinrude brand to Amsoil. As long as the new oil meets mnfg. specs. they cannont drop or void your warranty. It is against the law. In my case the Amsoil was actually a little more expensive, but was definately worth it, smoked less and ran better at idle speeds.
