Subject: RE: ranger live well?

I have a bit older 690vs, a '95. I only have fill and empty levers for options on the livewells, no recirculate. The port side livewell (larger one) I have plugged and it stays dry. The smaller starboard one, even with every hole (top and bottom) inside and the outside hole plugged, I still get a little water in there, but it doesn't come in fast enough that if I sat and watched it you could see. Any ideas? The other thing that happens is I get a semicircle of wet carpet centered at the inside front corner of that livewell, but never any water under the floor to bilge out. Ranger's only suggestion was that it might be the speedometer tube that runs from behind the console and toward the back has a break in it and water coming in the tube is running down under the carpet. But from his description of where the tube runs it doesn't even run out that way or along the floor. Any thoughts on this from someone who may have experienced something similar? Thanks
