Steve is right, recirc seems the best setting for not using the well. That website says to leave in empty, but I think the valve is in a 'sure' closed position in recirc, vs. reliance on a flapper in empty. Those valve flaps seem to seat better the more they are used. The guy I bought mine from used the baitwell all the time and that one works the best out of the three. I didn't get much water in, but with them plugged, I can store paperwork in them. I picked up a few more 5/8" plugs for the back, stop over and I'll give you one for the livewell you want to keep sealed. You can replace valves, but plugging is the only way you are going to competely eliminate any seepage.
